Lebanese businessman Hamed Abou Zahr, in collaboration with others, has converted the old Palace of Justice in Sidon into a habitable shelter for dozens of families displaced by Israeli attacks. Like them, dozens of volunteers are adapting other abandoned and private spaces to support Lebanese citizens from the south of the country, in light of the heavy pressure on institutions, the lack of available resources from official authorities, and the scarcity of external aid.
