Under the patronage of Consul Dr. Hamed Abou Zahr, President of A’amalona Association, the organization concluded today an intensive three-day event held at the Hall of Mufti Sheikh Salim Sousan in Saida, under the theme “Colors and Hope.” The initiative focused on providing post-war psychosocial support for children of various age groups, using artistic expression and painting as therapeutic and developmental tools.
This activity aligns with the association’s mission to empower communities and build individual capacities, especially for groups most in need of emotional and psychological support. The venue, selected for its symbolic and central community role, allowed wider access for participating children.
Over the course of three days, children engaged in guided creative workshops led by a specialized team of volunteers in psychosocial support (PSS) and art education. The activities were designed to help children:
– Express their emotions safely and positively through drawing and color
– Develop social and collaborative skills through group-based work
– Boost self-confidence and unlock creative potential
– Reduce stress and cope with the pressures of their daily environment
